Shilajit is formed over an extremley long period of time. It is a result of the degradation of microbial plant-life that has been pressurized by rock and is known as the “Black gold” of Ayruveda

As the rocks of the Altai mountains heat up, this black gold exudes from the cracks. It is then collected and filtered to remove impurities, before being used as a health supplement. But it’s not a new discovery by any means; Shilajit has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.

Shilajit is an adaptogen – Rich in minerals, as well as fulvic and humic acids, triterpenes and phospholipids.
